DDC Kulgam visits Dist library

KULGAM, JULY 19: DDC Kulgam Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today visited District Library Kulgam where he inspected various sections of the library and took stock of the facilities being provided to book readers.

During his visit DDC was briefed by the concerned about the availability of books and other study material available in the library.

The concerned informed the DDC that a total number of 18000 books are available in the library and library is receiving good response of readers.

On the occasion officials of the Library apprised the DDC about various issues and problems which are hampering in the smooth functioning of the Library. The issues included shortage of staff, water supply shortage, internet facility and other issues. The DDC on spot directed the concerned departments to redress the issues on a priority basis for smooth functioning of the Library.

Later DDC also visited indentified land site of BOSE Kulgam.
