Chairperson SCPWCR visits Markazi Falah-i-Itfal at Shalimar

SRINAGAR, JULY 19: Chairperson J&K State Commission for Protection of Women & Child Rights (JKSCPWCR) Vasundhara Pathak Masoodi paid a visit to boys and girls Markazi Falah-i-Itfal (Bal Ashrams) at Shalimar, Srinagar.

During the visit, the Chairperson held an interaction with the inmates of the Bal Ashrams and took stock of the facilities being provided to them. She also enquired about the needs and requirements of the inmates putting up in these Bal Ashrams.

Issuing on-the-spot directions to the concerned for ensuring all required facilities at these Bal Ashrams, Vasundhara directed that the buildings of the Bal Ashrams should be properly maintained as she noticed cracks in the buildings, with the provisions of adequate water and power supply. She said that the matter with regard to buildings of these Ashrams, which are more than 60 years old, would be taken up with the concerned so that the periodic repair and renovation of these buildings be taken up at the earliest for the safety, security and convenience of inmates.
