Ganderbal, July 18: A road leading from Baroosa Ganderbal to tourist destination Manasbal is lying in dilapidated conditions, irking commuters and tourists alike.

Local residents alleged that authorities have neglected the importance of Manasbal as a famous tourist destination. “The maintenance of Manasbal road should have been a top priority of concerned department as hundreds of foreign and domestic tourists visit the place each day,” locals said.

A group of tourists told Kashmir Images that Manasbal is a beautiful place especially Manasbal Lake but the road that leads to the tourist destination is not in a good condition. “We faced lot of difficulties while commuting on the road,” they said.

Local residents said that they have been requesting the Roads and Building (R&B) and Public Works Department (PWD) to macadamize the road but to no avail. We appeal the Governor administration to look in to the matter,” they added.
