J&K bank thrash J&K Forest-XI by 7: 0 goals

Srinagar: In the ongoing State Annual League Football tournament, three matches of Junior Division were played at Polo Ground West and two at Synthetic Turf TRC on Wednesday.

At Polo Ground West, first match was played between United FC and Shining Star, United FC got a Walkover as Shining star did not turn up in the field to play. The second match was played between Eithad FC Nowgam & Alijana ‘B’ FC. Eithad FC defeated Alijana ‘B’ FC by Four goals to one. The third match was played between Zabarwan Fc and Kashmir Sign FC. Zabarwan FC defeated Kashmir Sign by one goal to Nil.

At Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, first match of Super Division was played between Solina FC and Fortview Fc. Both the teams played well and finally Fortview Fc defeated Solina Sports by a Solitary Goal. The second match of Premier Division was played between J&K Bank team and J&K Forest Team. J&K Bank dominated the scene right from the beginning and attacked the Goal of J&K Forest Team time & again trying to create an opening to score. It was in the 9th minute of 1st half that Aakif of J&K Bank Team scored first Goal. J&K bank Team scored two more Goals and the half time score was 3:0 in favour of J&K Bank Team.

In the second half J&K Bank team scored four more Goals and it was a one sided affair. J&K bank team shattered the J&K Forest Team and they were a helpless lot. Aakif of J&K bank scored two goals, Adnan scored three Goals, Danish and Waris scored one goal each.

J&K Forest Team was considered to be a Rank-I team in yesteryears but today’s performance of the team was very poor & saddened the spectators.

The tournament is organized by District Football Association Srinagar.
