AGS Ziran celebrates Annual Day function

Srinagar, July 16: Annual day of Army Goodwill School, Ziran was celebrated on 16 July 2019 under the aegis of Chinar Gunners with great enthusiasm, fervour and gaiety.

The function started with a mesmerizing welcome song performed by junior students which won everyone’s heart. Thereafter, the stage was set on fire by the senior students exhibiting their talent in skits, Ladakhi dance and dance on women empowerment, Kashmiri Rouf, Bhangra, Qawali, Kashmiri Folk Ladishah and other events.

“Army Goodwill School, Ziran not only valued the academics but also the creative talent of students in order to cultivate an all-round personality of students which would continue for a lifetime.” A defense spokesman said in a statement issued here.

At the end of the exhilarating cultural programme, the achievers were felicitated with Trophies, Medals and Certificates of Appreciation by the Chief Guest. For the first time, 13 rolling trophies were introduced for academics, sports and extracurricular activities to recognize, encourage and award the talented students & staff.

Addressing the occasion, Farooq Ahmed Shah, former IAS officer and Commander Chinar Gunners extended their appreciation to Army Goodwill School, Ziran for a lovely and heartening performance by the students. The participants and teachers were happy alike after the grand success of the event and lauded the effort of Army Camp, Ziran for successfully organising the event.
