ADC reviews implementation of PM-SYM pension scheme in Budgam

BUDGAM JULY 16: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani today convened a meeting of officers to take department wise review of the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme across the district.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ACR Zaffar Shawl and various district officers.

ADC directed concerned departments to cover all genuine unorganized workers including MG-NREGA job card holders, brick kiln workers, pony wallas, labour cardholders and all other unorganized workers under the PM-SYM pension scheme across the district.

He stressed on concerned departments including Employment and Rural Development Department to coordinate with each other and complete the registration of all workers expeditiously. In the meeting, the department wise targets were fixed to ensure no unorganized worker is left out and is registered under the scheme.

While emphasizing on massive awareness generation about the scheme, the ADC directed concerned departments to organize awareness camps and meetings with the workers to ensure their timely registrations. He said that all shopkeepers, who are operating their business units at Doodhpathri, Yousmarg and Tosamaidaan tourist spots shall also be covered under the scheme.

Stating that the registrations are being done at 150 Common Service Centers presently across the district, the ADC asked concerned to deploy more computer operators to ensure maximum registrations are done on a daily basis to achieve their monthly wise targets without any fail.
