BARAMULLA, JULY 14: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo on Sunday paid a visit to Gulmarg where 15 shops were gutted in a fire incident last night.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by officers from various departments.
During the visit, DC took a thorough review of the situation post the fire incident during which he directed the concerned officers to assess the damage occurred so that proper and timely compensation is provided to the fire victims. He also directed the concerned officers to provide necessary commodities to the victims adding the every possible relief measure shall be taken for their rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, the DC interacted with several delegations who appraised him about their demands. The DC assured them that every possible help would be provided on a priority basis. He also urged upon other shopkeepers and traders to remain vigilant so that such incidents are averted.
