SRINAGAR, JULY 12: Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment Department Saurabh Baghat today inspected ongoing work on Employment Complex Bemina being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.

During the visit, Commissioner Secretary was briefed that the executing agency has made an expenditure of Rs 6 crore on the project so far.

Superintending Engineer R&B Srinagar informed the Commissioner Secretary that work on the project shall be carried out in double shifts to ensure its completion on time.

On the occasion, detailed site plan and other related works was elaborated by the Executing Engineer R&B Srinagar to the Commissioner Secretary who directed for expediting work on the projects for its completion within the stipulated timeframe.

The Employment Complex shall be housing three offices viz office of District Employment and Counselling Centre, Srinagar, office of Joint Director Employment, Kashmir and Directorate of Employment, J&K.

Later, Saurabh Bhagat visited BDO office Harwan where registration of candidates under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojna was being carried out. The Commissioner Secretary also interacted with the Sarpanchs and Panchs of the various villages of block Harwan and discussed with them the importance of the scheme.

He also directed BDO Harwan and Assistant Director, DE&CC Srinagar VLEs should go to the respective Panchayats for registration of labours, traders, shopkeepers and other unorganized workers.

Joint Director Employment, Kashmir, Shahid Mehmood, Assistant Director Employment, DE&CC Srinagar, Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat and other concerned accompanied the Commissioner Secretary.
