PHQ bids farewell to Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP on his posting as Director, SKPAU

Srinagar, July 11: A warm send off was given to Dr. S D Singh Jamwal, IGP CIV PHQ at a function held in conference hall here today on his transfer. Dr. Jamwal has been posted as Director Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, recently.

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh while speaking on the occasion congratulated Dr S D Singh for the posting. He said heading the State’s Police Academy is an important assignment as there lies the future of our organization.

DGP said that he himself has served in the SKPAU and added that he has cherished those days as there were lot of things to accomplish. He said that Dr Singh is a capable officer and rightly chosen for moulding the minds and attitude of 600 probationary sub inspectors. He added that JK Police’s future for the next 30 to 35 years lies with Police Academy as these PSIs would be trained under the able guidance of him as Director.

The DGP assured the outgoing officer that Police Headquarters will always be there to assist him, and academy to provide better training, living and other facilities to the trainees in the Academy.
