J&K Bank defeat Novelty Sports by 3 goals to 1

Srinagar, July 09: In the ongoing State Annual League Football tournament, two matches were played at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground today.

The Ist Match of Super Div. was played between Jahangir Sports & Saffalo FC, Jahangir Sports defeated Saffalo FC by Two goals to Nil. Sameer Ahmad and Wajahat scored for Jahangir Sports. Both the teams exhibited good football.

Second match of Premier Division was played between J&K Bank XI and Novelty Sports.The Star studded team played aggressive football from word go which delighted the fans who had thronged the venue in huge numbers. As the match started, forwards of J&K Bank Team started attacking to the opposite Goal post to seize an early initiative. In the 22nd minute of Ist half Furkan of J&K Bank scored a beautiful goal by a header.

Waris of J&K Bank increased the margin by scoring another goal in 29th minut of the Ist half. Aakif scored the third goal in 42nd minut. Goalkeeper of Novelty saved two brilliant shots of J&K bank’s striker. Musudiq of Novelty Sports scored lone goal for his team Novelty in 70th minute of 2nd half. The young players of Novelty Sports checked the forward line of experienced J&K Bank Players and did not allow them to score further. Finally J&K bank defeated Novelty Sports by three goals to one.

The tournament is organized by District Football Association Srinagar.
