Anantnag, July 09: Police has arrested one drug peddler from Anantnag and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Officers at a checkpoint established at Achabal Shelipora road, arrested one notorious drug peddler. He has been identified as Mohd Yousf resident of Achabal and was shifted to Police Station Achabal where he remains in custody. 12 Codeine phosphate bottles have been seized by the officers, a police spokesman said.
Case FIR No. 40/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered and initiated investigations in the matter.
