Srinagar, Jul 07: Authorities on Sunday suspended the mobile Internet service in south Kashmir districts in view of the third death anniversary of Burhan Wani.

The services were snapped in Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir early Sunday morning. An official said the service was barred as a “precautionary measure to maintain law and order”.

Burhan Wani, who was Hizbul Mujahideen outfit’s poster boy, was killed along with two associates in a gunbattle with security forces in Bemdoora village of Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on July 08, 2016. His killing triggered massive unrest in the Valley.
