ADGP Armed takes stock of deployment at Baltal, Nilgrath & Domail

Srinagar: ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani accompanied by Maqsood-ul-Zaman – SSP, Commandant IRP-8th Battalion paid visit to Baltal, Nilgrath and Domail to take the stock of the deployment made for smooth and secure conduct of ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2019.

ADGP Armed also took stock of the logistics provided to the Manpower deployed en route the Holy Cave. He interacted with the officers and officials deployed at various locations and briefed them to discharge the assigned duties with utmost care so that the devotees on the pilgrimage feel comfortable and secure by all means.

ADGP Armed also visited Joint Police Control Room established at Baltal and interacted with Police Yatra Officers, Army, CRPF, ITBP, Medical Officers and Shrine Board Officers. He briefed the officers to ensure that their coordinated efforts are effectively put in place to make the Yatra smooth and secure. He impressed upon the officers to ensure that their conduct is people friendly while dealing with the pilgrims besides providing them foolproof security and necessary assistance.

While briefing the officers assigned with different Yatra duties en route Holy Cave, the ADGP Armed also stressed upon them to take care of the welfare of Jawans deployed at hazardous locations for the safety and security of the pilgrims.

ADGP Armed also gave necessary instructions to Mountain Rescue Teams personnel of Jammu & Kashmir Police to remain extra vigilant, alert and ready round the clock to come forward in the shortest possible time to take up the rescue operations in case of any unexpected mishap to any pilgrim due to any natural or man made calamity.
