Leh, July 05: Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh Saugat Biswas visited Satellite Campus, University of Kashmir, Leh, Taru during which he took stock of the various facilities and inspected several teaching and non-teaching departments at the Campus.

The Divisional Commissioner was warmly welcomed by Rector, Leh Campus, KU  Prof. Farooq Ahmad Khan. During his visit Biswas was briefed about the academics, research, sports, other activities, and the courses being offered at Leh Campus.

He visited the Science block, Arts block, University library and Geology lab. He was also informed about the measures University of Kashmir has taken to ensure separate academic calendar for the students of Ladakh by establishing separate examination Centre at Leh Campus.

During his interaction with the faculty and students the Divisional Commissioner emphasized upon equipping students with the required skill sets to enable them to compete in a dynamic competitive environment.

While appreciating tireless efforts the University Campus is making in providing all facilities to the students of Leh Campus, he added that administration will extend all possible help to the University campus in carrying its mission of making Leh campus academically more vibrant.
