The trail of race was 40 KM through the majestic mountains. 50 mountain bikers from all over India competed in the race.

Parviaz Ahmad and Mohd Rafiq finished second and third respectively.

Speaking to Kashmir Images Gold medalist Akbar Khan said, “It was a challenging race for me. I competed with top notch players of mountain biking in Kashmir. Mountain biking has got lot of scope in Kashmir. We only need to tape it.”

One of the organiser of MTB Kashmir, Sheen Amin, said that he didn’t expect such an overwhelming response to the tournament. “Everyone has been helpful, especially tourism department and police. “It was a success and we are being encouraged to organize more such races,” Amin added.
