During the course of meeting, Justice Rabstan inquired from the officers about the issues with regard to the allotment of land by District Administration for construction of Court Complex at Kurbathang Kargil.

The Justice directed the Deputy Commissioner Kargil to immediately hand over the land already allotted to the Judiciary in 2014. He also directed to resolve the disputes of the land patch at Kurbathang with the Army authorities and to present a clear cut picture in this regard within 10 days time.

While underlining the importance of the setting up of a Court Complex at the district headquarters in view of the inadequate space and infrastructure present at the present Court Complex at Baroo, Justice Rabstan stressed on officers to take proactive steps so that the DPR for construction of the Court Complex is submitted by July 15.

He also instructed the officers of PWD to pursue the DPRs for construction of Court Complexes at Drass, Sankoo and Zanskar so that work on the construction of these complexes is started at the earliest.

Justice Rabstan also directed engineers to keep the provision of solar power facilities, E-Court system facilities, lift and other required amenities for the court complexes while framing the DPRs.

He also gave on spot directions to the concerned to prepare DPRs for construction of ramps at all existing Court Complexes in the district for the convenience of specially-abled persons visiting courts besides to complete the construction of ladies washrooms at Court Complex Kargil at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Justice Rabstan also inquired about the progress achieved on the construction of District Jail at Khumbathang Kargil and instructed the concerned officers to complete the remaining works in a swift and time bound manner.
