SRINAGAR, JUNE 25: Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, has expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the tragic death of two schoolchildren in a tipper accident near Jaswal Bridge in Ramban district today.
In his condolence message, Ganai, who is Advisor in-charge Education Department, conveyed his heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved family members over their irreparable loss.
The Advisor also issued directions to the district administrations to ensure safety of school-going children and prohibit the truckers and tippers from carrying schoolchildren and other passengers as this is in total violation of traffic and transport norms.
The Advisor also directed Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, to have an enquiry conducted into the incident.
