WPL: PCC Tarzoo thrash Blue Star by 9 Wickets

Tarzoo, June 14: In the ongoing Wular Premier League (WPL), Blue Star Tarzoo on Friday thrashed PCC Tarzoo by 9 Wickets in a one sided contest at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore.

Bating First, Blue Star limped to a score of 129 runs for the loss of 7 Wickets in the allotted overs. Imran was the top scorer with 46 runs. For PCC Tarzoo, Danish Took 3 wickets and Abrar took brace.

In reply, PCC Tarzoo achieved the target for the loss of one wicket.

Mohammad Aasif played a brilliant inning of 63 runs and Fayaz Ahmad scored 38 runs.

For Blue Star, Aamin took one wicket. At the closing function Mohammad Aasif was declared Man of the match for his brilliant knock of 63 runs.

Second match of the day was played between RCC Chattabal and Handwara Sports. After winning the toss, Handwara Sports put a descent score of 176 runs on the board in the allotted 20 overs. Sarfaraz was top scorer with 45 runs and Tariq made 30 runs.

For RCC, Aasif and Aajaz took brace. In reply, Chattabal got off to a flying start and achieved the target of 177 runs only in 15.4 overs with 26 balls to spare.

For RCC, Chattabal Aijaz made unbeaten 64 and Aasif Bakshi contributed with 47 at the end. Yasir scored 49 of 14 balls with some lusting blows. Man of the match award was received by Aijaz for his brilliant knock of 64 run.

At the closing function, a well known Cricketer of Baramulla district Babloo Singh was the chief guest who distributed the man of the match award; besides, Dr Shakeel was also present on the occasion.

This Tournament is being organized under the banner of Sports Association Tarzova.
