Eid Milan for orphan, destitute children organized at Baramulla

Baramulla: Human Aid Society Kashmir on Saturday organized  ‘Eid Milan’ at Dak Bungalow in which 45 orphan and violence hit children participated.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo was the chief guest whereas SSP Baramulla Abdul Quyoom and Sub-Judge Baramulla Faizan ul Haq Iqbal were the chief guests on the occasion.

Chairman Human Aid Society Bashir Ahmad briefed about various activities carried out by the NGO.

He informed that the society is providing educational, social, economical and moral support to the children sponsored by it and sought special intervention from the DC in strengthening its level of work.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Qayoom impressed upon the children to bring self confidence among them as they are equally potential like others.

“Being orphan or poor is not a curse but you need to put more efforts in making your careers and become better human beings,” he added.

Deputy Commissioner, during his address hailed the efforts of NGO and extended Eid greetings to the children. He urged upon them not to consider themselves inferior or alone from others .

“ Need of the hour is to provide appropriate platforms for the poor and orphans  so that they can explore their talent. He wished them for a bright and prosperous future and assured that district administration will explore every possibility for their better rehabilitation,” he added. Moreover, he urged upon them to work hard  for achieving a better career.Later, DC, SSP and Sub Judge Baramulla distributed Eid, gifts and sweets among the children and  interacted with the children and distributes Eid gifts among them besides dine with them.

Sub-Judge Baramulla Faizan ul Haq Iqbal,Patrain HASK and Chairman BWJA Qaramat Qayoom, various civil society members among other prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
