ANANTNAG, JUNE 09: The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Khalid Jahangir today chaired a meeting here to review the arrangements put in place for the conduct of annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra via Pahalgam route.
CEO PDA, SDM Pahalgam, SEs of all Engineering wings, Tehsildar, EO MC, officers of the tourism and police attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions with regard to the smooth conduct of the Yatra 2019, besides security arrangements, were held in the meeting. The DDC was informed that all the requisite arrangements will be in place well in advance from the commencement of the Yatra. It was given out that a team of three senior officers will be sent to the Holy cave to provide the feedback with regard to the condition of the track and availability of other facilities for the pilgrims.
The DDC instructed to ensure all the arrangements are put in place for the conduct of the Yatra from Nunwan base camp in the district to the Holy cave before 20th of June.
