The protesters appealed police to speedup investigation into the case so that the alleged rapist gets death sentence for tarnishing chastity of a minor girl.

They also appealed the government to initiate time bound inquiry into the killing of a youth in Chenabal area during clashes with government forces against Sumbal rape incident.

“The main objective of ours to assemble here today is to seek justice for three years old girl who was brutally raped by her neighbor. Besides we appeal the government to identify the killers of a youth Sahahid Ahmad Dar who was seriously injured in clashes and later succumbed at SKIMS,” said Abid Hussain a protester.

He said some elements want to paint the gruesome act of rape with a minor child with sectarian color to gain brawny points out of the issue” we want to make it clear that it’s not an issue of Shia or Sunni. Those who commit such heinous crimes have no religion nor do they have any space in Islam”

Protesters said the police should speedup investigation and make medical report of rape victim public so that ambiguity over the grave issue is over.

“We appeal all Muslims to b united at this juncture as certain vested interest elements try to vitiate peaceful atmosphere in the valley by fanning communal riots. She was not Sunni or Shia but a Muslim so we humbly appeal people to stay united till things are clear,” they said.

Protesters before culminating their demos appealed Governor, DG Police and other higher-ups of civil and police administration to conduct thorough probe into the killing of Chenabal youth who they said was killed mercilessly.
