Srinagar, May 17: Condemning the killing of a 50-year-old man in Bhaderwah, CPI(M) Jammu regional secretary Sham Prasad Kesar has urged the government to take strict action against the culprits involved in the crime.

“Such killings are the outcome of hate campaign launched by the Sangh Parivar across the country. Till now BJP government took no steps to stop this at the all India level. Instead, they polarised the situation further not only in Jammu and Kashmir but across the country for electoral gains,” CPI(M) leader said.

“The Supreme Court had given strict instructions to the central and state governments to prevent such attacks and take strict action in such incidents of vigilantism. But the hate campaigners have the patronage of the BJP government due to which the situation is going worse by the day,” he said.

“The Governor administration in J&K must to abide by the directions of the Supreme Court and ensure that the culprits of the Bhaderwah incident are brought to book and that the family of the victim is compensated adequately and assured of justice,” he added.

“The central government must ban all such gangs indulging in cow vigilantism across the country,” CPI(M) leader said.
