Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed pain and worry over the damage caused to crops in central Kashmir’s Budgam area due to the recent hailstorm.
PDP General Secretary Ghulam Nahi Lone Hanjura said that there are scores of areas of Char-e- Sharief where hailstorm has wrecked havoc on crops and damage caused to orchards is also massive.
Batpora, Gogji Pathri, Ladhen, Branwar, Surasyar, Nowhar and several other areas of Budgam have witnessed damage to trees at a large scale, said Hanjura.
He added that the farmers affected by the hailstorms should be given proper compensation without further delay as they are passing through a difficult financial condition.
