SRINAGAR, MAY 14: Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Environment & Ecology Department M.K. Dwivedi reviewed the Forest Clearance issues of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project with the Forest and Northern Railway officials in a meeting held here today.

Chief Engineer Northern Railway listed the forest land issues and tree felling issues related to muck dumping yard in Mahore Forest Division and laying of 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi and Ramban to Sangaldan sections for Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project.

Commissioner Secretary advised the MD State Forest Corporation to expedite the felling of trees coming in the alignment of laying of 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi and Ramban to Sangaldan sections in a time-bound manner and assured full cooperation and support from the Forest Department for smooth and timely execution of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project.

The meeting was attended by Vasu Yadav, Managing Director, J&K State Forest Corporation, Sandeep Gupta, Chief Engineer (Construction), Northern Railway, BBS Tomar, Chief Engineer, Northern Railway, K. Rameshkumar, Secretary Technical, Forest Department, Randhawa Suhay, Chief Electrical Engineer, Northern Railway. D.P. Lal, Executive Director, IRCON, Sumit Khajuria, Deputy Chief Engineer, Northern Railway, Hussain Khan, Deputy Chief Engineer, Northern Railway, and Rao, Chief General Manager, IRCON.
