ANANTNAG, MAY 14: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Khalid Jahangir today sanctioned cash compensation of Rs 4 lakh each, out of State Disaster Response Fund in favour of next of kin’s of Sameer Ahmad Lone and Arif Ahmad Lone sons of Mohammad Ibrahim Lone residents of Pooru Kokernag, who lost their lives in the cloudburst on Monday evening at Pooru Kokernag.
Cash compensation of Rs. 10000 from District Red Cross was also sanctioned in favour of Nizam ud Din Bimla son of Jumma Bimla resident of Pooru Kokernag, who sustained minor injuries in the incident.
