Srinagar: In the wake of expected heavy rush of traffic on City roads, the Traffic Police City Srinagar has geared up to tackle the traffic challenges.

To manage the emerging traffic issues in the City, Traffic Police City Srinagar has intensified its drive against the Traffic violators since last one month, a spokesman said in a statement issued today.

Besides, the regular challaning mechanism on the roads, City Police Traffic is restoring to other novel challanning procedures like serving notices to violators through concerned P/S for all the violators whose act of violations are being recorded through various CCTV Camera’s and other mobile cameras placed across the City, said the spokesman.

He further said, “in this regard, during the month of April-2019 as many as 200 notices have been served to violators for various violations through concerned Police Stations”.

Moreover special intensified drives in collaboration with local Police, Srinagar Municipality Corporation and Transport department is also being conducted to tackle the menace of road encroachment by hawkers, wrong parkings and other road violators, he said, adding, likewise to create awareness among the public especially the young generation many traffic awareness programmes are being conducted in various Schools and Colleges of Srinagar.
