DDC Budgam takes stock of Ramzan arrangements

BUDGAM, MAY 08: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar today visited Markazi Imam Bara and Jamia Masjid at Budgam and interacted with masjid committees regarding arrangements in place for people during the month of Ramzan.

During the visit, DDC Budgam directed the concerned to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and water to people of the district during the holy month.

She stressed on EO Municipal Committee Budgam to ensure proper sanitation besides regular lifting of garbage and its proper disposal at both sites.  She also stressed on the completion of under construction double storey Lavatory Block besides leveling and maintenance of adjacent park that is used for prayer purposes at Imam Bara.

At Jama Masjid Budgam, the DDC impressed upon putting up all other facilities required at the Jama Masjid. The DDC also visited a nearby Jinazgah where she discussed issues related to construction of boundary and retaining walls.

During visit, the DDC meet local Masjid and Imam Bara Intizamia Committees and enquired about the facilities available at both places.

Earlier, the DDC also visited Ompora and took stock of the ongoing repairing work of Budgam-Humhama road. She emphasized on concerned to expedite work to ensure smooth plying of traffic and hassle-free journey of people through this route.

The DDC was accompanied by Ex.En. R&B, PHE, PDD, Tehsildar Budgam, EO Municipal Committee Budgam and officials from various departments.
