DDC Bandipora stresses on early completion of projects

BANDIPORA, MAY 07: District Development Commissioner, Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza on Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress of ongoing work on 80 languishing projects across the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora and other senior officers of the district.

The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 205.35 crore have been approved for work completion of 124 languishing projects in the district through the Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited.

The languishing projects include projects aimed at providing pure drinking water supply, infrastructure for healthcare besides several roads and bridges.

The DDC reviewed the progress on the projects and stressed on concerned to expedite work on all projects and ensure that all the projects are completed within the set deadline.

He asked the officers to remove all the bottlenecks that come in way of the early completion of projects and urged them to update the district administration regularly about the progress on the languishing projects.
