Police establishes helpline numbers for women at Women’s PS Rambagh

Srinagar, May 01: Police on Wednesday said that it has established 24×7 Helpline to help the women/girls in distress such as facing harassment or any kind of abuse or violence.

According to a police spokesman, to help the women/girls in distress such as facing harassment or any kind of abuse or violence, Helpline dedicated 24×7 by District police Srinagar has been established for women and girls at Women’s Police Station Rambagh, Srinagar.

“On the directions of SSP Srinagar Dr M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS, helpline for women/girls was today inaugurated by the DySP Headquarters Srinagar Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS along with SHO Women’s Police Station Rambagh Khalida Parveen and Senior Prosecuting Officer Shafaq Murtaza,” the spokesman said.

“Srinagar police has requested women /girls come forward and contact on these numbers for any kind of assistance or emergency. Women Helpline numbers in Women’s Police Station, Rambagh Srinagar are: 9596770601 (WhatsApp) and 9596770602,” the spokesman added.
