 DD-Kashir launches ‘Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet’

Srinagar, April 29: The Kashmiri version of world famous quiz show Who Wants to be a Millionaire, “Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet” starts from tonight and the broadcast will be at 8:00 PM (Monday to Saturday) and will be repeated the following day at 7:00 am and at 2:00 PM.

The show will be hosted by the beloved Kashmiri actor Rayees Mohiuddin.

On this occasion Director General, Doordarshan, Supriya Sahu said, “The show gives us the opportunity to highlight the local unsung heroes and bring their untold stories from Jammu and Kashmir region to the rest of the country. I would like to thank the team behind the show and Prasar Bharati for their continuous support.”

The quiz based show is aimed to give an opportunity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to prove their mettle on knowledge. The show also gives them a platform to share their personal experiences and stories of achievements and success giving them the opportunity to inspire and motivate us.

The program is produced by Studio Next, a production house of Sony Pictures Networks. Studio Next holds the license of the format, for all Indian languages. The team of Studio NEXT has produced more than 1,800 episodes of the show across eight languages. They are bringing international production qualities for the first time in a TV show in Kashmiri. The Kashmiri version is the ninth language version in India.

On this occasion, the Head of Studio Next, Indranil Chakraborty, said: “We are extremely happy and privileged to bring the show to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We have maintained the same ethos of the show as in other languages, followed strict and transparent process for contestant selection and delivered production quality of the highest standards. Kus Bani Koshur Karorpaet will celebrate the great leveller of our Society viz knowledge”. Gyan Ki Roshni Se Jagegi Taqdeer …. KBC Ab aa Raha Hai Kashmir.
