Srinagar: Peoples Conference senior vice president and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said that time has proved that Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah can go to any extent to get power.

In a statement Vakil said, “For power, NC can even walk over the dead bodies of people of Kashmir and they will not hesitate to exploit the sentiments of common masses”.

Abdul Gani Vakil said that it is surprising to see Farooq Abdullah as the sympathizer of Yasin Malik.

“The fact of the matter is it was Farooq Abdullah who not only banned Jamat-e-Islami during his regime but put Yasin Malik behind the bars so many times and brought POTA to Kashmir to crush descent”, he added.

Vakil said, “It was NC which introduced task force who created havoc in valley and now for the sake of power, they call stone-pelters as freedom fighters”.

Vakil said that it was NC’s wrong decisions at crucial times that led to death and destruction in Kashmir and present uncertainty is the outcome of the wrong doings of National Conference leadership.

Terming NC a party of turn coats Vakil asserted that time has come to teach such people a lesson who have lust for the power, so that they no more exploit the gullible people for their vested interests”.
