Srinagar police arrests 9 gamblers

Srinagar: Police has arrested a drug peddler in Awantipora area and recovered 1.9 kilogram charas from his possession.

A statement issued by police said that officers at the checkpoint near Galandar Pampore arrested a drug peddler identified as Mohammad Riyaz Gojar son of Abdul Hussain Gojar resident of Leera Rajouri. Police has recovered 1.9 kg of Charas from his possession. Riyaz has been taken to Police Station Pampore where he remains in custody.

“Police has registered a case FIR No 16/2019 under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation in the matter,” the statement said.
