Tangmarg, April 23: In the ongoing ‘Shrai Premier League’, Mahayan-XI defeated Kampora-XI by 56 runs. Batting first after winning the toss Mahayan-XI posted 209 runs in allotted 18 overs. Parvaiz (72) and Tanveer (53) took the team off to a flying start as the opening pair added 110 runs in 10 preliminary overs before Tanveer was run out. Tuffail and Anjum finished the task with some fiery stroke-play in the depth overs. Tuffail scored 25 runs while as Anjum added 46 runs off just 15 balls. Anjum in his brief knock did hit 6 towering sixes and helped the team post decent 209 runs on board.

In reply, Kampora-XI batsmen couldn’t carry-on with the required run rate despite Ishfaq’s quickfire 35 runs. Lack of partnerships added to the woes of Kampora-XI as wickets kept on falling at regular intervals. For Mahayan-XI; Aadil, Momin and Parvaiz picked up two wickets each as Kampora-XI fell short by 56 runs.  Parvaiz for his all-round performance was adjudged as man of the match.
