Darbar Move advance parties halted on Jammu-Srinagar Highway

JAMMU, APRIL 23: State President Darbar Move Employees Federation (DMEF), J&K State today appealed for making arraignments for hassle free movement of annual Darbar Move employees.

The Federation’s State President Ovais Wani said that the employees send with advance party for annual Darbar Move operations are facing huge inconveniences while travelling on Jammu Srinagar Highway as they are halted at various spots from last days.

He appealed for timely intervention of Governor in this matter and said that the advance parties will only be able to installation of computers, telephones, placement of files and proper custody of the trunks/furniture by 6th May if smooth and hassle free traffic movement is made possible.

He appealed the Governor that the BEACON and NHAI authorities should also ensure good condition of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway during the move days, particularly on 27th and 28th April as majority of employees will be moving back on these dates as Secretariat is closing on 26th and Non-secretariat offices are closing on 27th of April.

He also appealed that postponing Army convoy on Sunday 28th of April so that hassle free movement of secretariat and Non-secretariat office employees is made possible.
