Student develops ‘drone’ which can ‘fly up to 150 meters’

Pattan, April 22: A Class 9th student from north Kashmir’s Khore Sheerabad area has developed a ‘drone’ (quadcopter) which he claims can “fly up to 150 meters”.

Aryan Khan (14), son of Mohammad Lateef Khan, said that he had to spend Rs 10,000 for developing the drone. “I have bought most of its parts online,” Khan said.

“Right from my 6th class, I was passionate about developing something unusual and had made two failed attempts to develop a drone.  It was finally this year that I could successfully develop a drone which is operated by a remote control and can fly up to 150 meters,” Khan added.
