DIG NKR distributes essential items among orphans

Srinagar: Under the aegis of CAP (Civic Action Programme), DIG NKR distributed certain essential items among orphans.

A Police spokesman in a statement said that the initiative is aimed at the welfare of society particularly the orphans so as to equip them with adequate resources.

DIG NKR at a ceremony held at Bait-ul-Falah Yateem Trust Singhpora Pattan distributed geysers, school bags, blankets and various stationary items among 52 orphans, he said.

The function was also attended by the Chairman, Secretary, Vice-Nazim of the Yateem Trust and other prominent citizens of the locality.

The locals and the administrators of the Yateem Trust lauded the efforts of police for such initiatives. They expressed their desire that such programmes should be organised in future as well so that educational endeavours of orphans are timely supported for their proper encouragement, added the spokesman.
