Militant killed in a brief encounter at Watergam
Grenade lobbed at CRPF camp in Tral
Srinagar: One militant was killed in retaliatory fire when militants fired upon a patrol of 32 RR at Watergam area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district Friday evening.
Reports said that a group of militants opened fire on a patrol of 32 RR of Army near Watergam area of Rafiabad Friday evening.
The Army returned the fire and one militant was killed instantly, reports said, adding body of one killed militant has been recovered.
As the Army has started sanitizing the area, there were some reports pouring in about the killing of another militant.
However, there was no official confirmation when this report was being file.
Meanwhile, in south Kashmir, militants launched a grenade and opened fire on a CRPF camp in Tral.
Reports said that Friday evening, militants launched a grenade using UGBL at a CRPF camp stationed at Midoora, Tral in Pulwama district and also fired heavily towards the camp.
The CRPF personnel retaliated and the exchange of fire was reported for quite sometime. However, there were no reports of any casualties or injuries from either side.
