Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has condemned the “ill treatment” of Kashmiri detenues in Central Jail srinagar.

In a statement issued today, Sehrai said the jail authorities have made the life of Kashmiri prisoners miserable.

“As per the reports the behaviour of the jail authorities is very aggressive since the incident that occurred two weeks back. Even basic facilities are denied to inmates,” he alleged.

Sehrai said the jail authorities are not only violating the international covenants, but also the fundamental and constitutional rights of these prisoners.
