Srinagar, Apr 16: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday summoned the Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) chairman Muhammad Yaseen Khan in alleged funding case.

“Whereas it appears that you are acquainted with the circumstances of the case noted below, which is now under investigation by the NIA, New Delhi, you are hereby required to report at National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs, Opposite Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 18-04-2019 at 10:30 am for the purpose of your examination relating to the case,” read the notice issued to Khan.

A Delhi court last week sent JKLF chief Yasin Malik to NIA custody till April 22 after the agency sought his custodial interrogation in connection with a case related to alleged funding of separatists and militant groups in Jammu and Kashmir.

Malik was produced before special judge Rakesh Syal where the NIA arrested him inside the courtroom and sought 15-day custodial interrogation.
