Renowned broadcaster Maqsood Ahmad bereaved

Garkote Uri: Khawaja Mohammad Hanief, father of renowned broadcaster and editor Sherbeen, a well-known current affairs program of Radio Kashmir Srinagar,  Maqsood Ahmad, and uncle of Zaffar Iqbal correspondent Kashmir Uzama passed away after brief illness at SMHS Srinagar on Sunday morning.

He was laid to rest at his native village Garkote Uri and large number of people from cross section of society participated in the funeral prayers (Nimaz Jinaza).

North Kashmir Journalist Association and Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) delegation led by Chairman Karmat Qayoom and chief spokesman Reyaz Rashid participated in funeral prayers  and expressed condolence and solidarity with Maqsood Ahmad and Zaffar Iqbal.

Various journalists, social, political and religious organisations have expressed their condolences and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.

Meanwhile, Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir Bashir Ahmad Mir has also expressed his condolences and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and grant strength to the family.

Kashmir Images has also condoled the sad demise and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
