Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratan Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 128th Birth Anniversary.

While paying floral tributes to the father of Indian Constitution, Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma described him as one of the towering personalities of modern India who will always be remembered for his outstanding contribution for the upliftment of the downtrodden people in this country.

He remembered the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar during freedom struggle and post independence era and said that Indian constitution formed under his chairmanship is one of the best document in the World which takes care of the aspirations of the largest pluralistic society in the World. He was messiah of the poor and downtrodden in the country and dedicated his life for their upliftment and social integration by protecting their interests in the constitution.

Ravinder Sharma said that because of his relentless efforts for the rights of the under privileged sections of the society and to get them their  constitutional rights in every sphere of life on the principle of equality, the Indian Constitution is a unique document representing the pluralistic character of our Country. He will always be remembered for his pivotal role in formulating the Constitution of India, the largest democracy of the World.
