Sehrai denounces shifting of inmates to outside jails

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has denounces the shifting of  Socio-Political and religious prisoners lodged in Jammu Jails to the jails outside the state.

In a statement, Sehrai said that dozens of socio-religious and political activists including Dr Hameed Fayaz, Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri, Mushtaq Ahmed Hurra, Bashir Ahmed Soliha, Shakeel Ahmed Pandit, Sami Ullah Bhat have been ashifted to outside jails.

Sehrai also condemned slapping of PSA on Sheikh Mohammad Ramzaan, Javeed Khan, Rameez Ahmed Shah, Gulzar Ahmed Ganai.

Sehrai said that shifting on inmates to outside jails is not only against the principles of democracy but a blatant violation of the Supreme Court guidelines.
