Srinagar: Kulgam police arrested one person at a checkpoint near Panchayat Ghar Adijen road following an action against those involved in drug peddling in South Kashmir.
Identified as Fida Hussain, the arrested person was taken into custody and lodged at Police Station D.H Pora, a police spokesman said.
Police seized 100 grams of brown sugar from his possession and a vehicle has also been seized in the matter, said the spokesman.
Case FIR No 14/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station D.H Pora and investigation has been taken up.
