DGP rewards J&K Police Brass Band team

DGP visits Baramulla, Sopore; addresses darbars, interacts with policemen

Jammu, April 08: To appreciate the J&K Police Brass Band team which secured 1st position in Brass Band Competition during 19th All India Police Band Competition, Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has rewarded its members with cash and commendation certificates class 1st.

In an order issued today DGP sanctioned rupees 97,000/ in favour of  36 members of J&K Police Brass Band team for their achievement and performance shown during the Competition. J&K Police Brass Band team secured 1st position in the Brass Band category.

Rupees 4000/ each have been sanctioned in favour of two SIs, rupees 3500/ for ASI, rupees 3000/each in  favour of Six Head Constables and rupees 2500/ each have been sanctioned for 27 constable members of the team vide PHQ order number 1531. Commendation certificates class 1st  also been sanctioned in their favour.

Pertinent to mention that J&K Police has hosted the 19th All India Police Band Competition at Jammu in first week of February this year, in which 23 teams of different police forces and Central Armed Police Forces, consisting 1448 members participated.
