Jammu, April 08: Recognizing the academic achievements of police wards, Director General of Police, J&K Dilbag Singh today sanctioned over Rupees eleven lakh vide two different orders of PHQ under Central Police welfare fund.
Rupees ten lakh seventy four thousands have been granted in favour of those police wards who have secured 80% and above in the Annual Examination of class 10th vide PHQ order No. 1517. As per this order, Rupees six thousand each has been sanctioned for 95 police wards and Rupees four thousand each in favour of 126 police wards for securing above 90% and above 80% respectively.
Under PHQ order No. 1524 Rupees twelve thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of four police wards for securing above eighty percent marks in different professional degree courses.
Police headquarters under different heads is annually sanctioning meritorious scholarship for police wards qualifying different examinations with above eighty percent marks so as to promote competitiveness among them.
