“During the visit, Shah noticed that many among these areas lacked the basic facilities owing to which they were left underdeveloped. He however, assured people that these villages would be uplifted during NC rule and said people would have a major role in choosing the works of development of their areas themselves,” reads the statement.

“He said a mega developmental drive will be launched in Tangmarg constituency after NC comes to power so that an equitable development in all the areas is ensured. Farooq Shah during the interactions asked workers to strengthen the party and said their support and cooperation was must to defeat those who have failed the People’s mandate from last more than a decade. He said his priority would be to undertake development at a large scale,” it said.

“Meanwhile, people of these areas have appreciated Shah’s outreach and said no one from the political class has been so accessible to the public in the past. They said, politicians if the area would mainly concentrate on a few areas and the individuals, but this is for the first time that a mass leader like Farooq Ahamd Shah is out there to ensure that everybody is reached at and heard. They assured support to him and NC,” it added.
