Srinagar: One person was arrested by Anantnag police at Dagpora Khanabal fallowing an action against those involved in drug peddling in South Kashmir.
A police spokesman said that one person identified as Mudasir Ahmad Najar son of Fayaz Ahmad Najar resident of Dagpora Khanabal was arrested for the drug offences and has been taken to Police Station Anantnag where he remains in custody.
Huge quantity of dried poppy (Fukki) was recovered from his possession.
“Case FIR No 34/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been taken up,” said the spokesman.
