JAMMU, APRIL 2: Advisor to governor, K K Sharma today reviewed the power scenario in Jammu division and preparedness of Power Development Department ahead of summer season.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary, BVR Subramanuim, Commissioner/ Secretary Power, Hridesh Kumar, Development Commissioner Power, Directors Finance and planning, Chief Engineers and other senior officers of the department.
The Advisor directed PDD to put in place a dependable mechanism to facilitate adequate electric supply to the consumers, which records an increase across Jammu during summers. He asked for holding regular meetings to remove the bottlenecks, if any.
The Advisor directed for taking the necessary measures for ensuring proper utilization by rationalisation of the available supply.
The advisor also directed for taking the necessary measures for ensuring that the damaged transformers are repaired as early as possible. He called for maintaining buffer stock of the transformers for replacement of damaged within the shortest possible time.
