KARGIL, MARCH 31: Deputy Commissioner Baseer ul Haq Choudhary while highlighting the importance of culture and cultural traditions stressed on the need to encourage cultural and literary activities because culture helps people understand their ancestral values and gives a boost to social and communal harmony.
The DC stated this while addressing youngsters during the concluding ceremony of Youth Convention, Archery Competition and Colorful Folk Cultural Programme organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Kargil at Auditorium Hall Kargil.
Superintendent of Police Kargil Dr. Vinod Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Sonam Chosjor, Chief Education Officer Kargil Nazir Ahmad Wani, District Coordinator NYK Kargil Tajammul Ara besides other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner while underlining the importance of such youth-based cultural activities expressed optimism that the event will go a long way in boosting the morale of the young artists besides instilling cultural awakening among them.
