The family member of Bhat while appealing the district administration to search for their missing son assembled outside Sub-divisional Magistrate Office Pattan and staged a protest demonstration.

“We have staged a peaceful protest today with the sole purpose that civil administration and police should help us establish the whereabouts of John Mohammad,” said one of the family members of Bhat.

“We had lodged a missing report on 23 March at police station Pattan but nothing has been done so far to trace John Mohammad,” he added.

When contacted Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pattan, Syed Naseer Ahmad, said: “We have constituted an investigating team, headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Pattan, to trace John Mohammad.”

“Police has sent the missing youth’s photographs to every police station across the state so that his whereabouts are established as soon as possible,” he added.
